After reviewing the website and marketing collateral, it was clear that a true branding needed to be developed. As Steamboat Bill’s has provided quality products to their clientele, We believe it is important to showcase each of their top sellers in order to educate people, and get them to try something new, as well as the employees about history and what makes Steamboat Bill’s product a success.
Client’s needs:
Our goal for Steamboat Bill’s was to create a consistent brand that defines how Steamboat Bill’s started and what has made them successful for the past 30 plus years of business! We want to focus on those points: family value, superior service, quality food, REAL ingredients, fresh, and homemade taste.
Solution:
The chosen concept incorporated a colorful retro background depicting the tradition and cultures of the area, layered with large isolated photos of the different food items. The subtext includes an off-the-cuff description of fresh-off-the-boat seafood, homemade ingredients for each of the featured products, that makes your mouth water for the famous dish! The muted background color that defines the saturated photo overlay, allows the eye to focus on the food photo, while conveying a sense of fun and vibrance that is part of the area’s history and culture. Topped it all off with fun french regionalisms to illustrate the local flavor, history, and family tradition of the dishes Steamboat Bill’s offers.
Since implementing the concept throughout the promotional materials, we have adjusted some of the branding to include a brighter yellow and red palette to better grab attention and simplify the content.
Steamboat Bills has 5 locations in the Louisiana area with 3 additional locations in the works. including a family owned sandwich shopped called Buffi’s Peauxboys.
